The 996 VIOZ GTX high-cut trekking shoes improve the gait thanks to the enhanced toe off and FLEX-SYSTEM joint near the ankle. These men's trekking boots are ideal for various types of terrain: the Zamberlan® Vibram® 3D outsole allows excellent traction and control and is also equipped with undercut heel that helps braking during descents. The WIDE LAST shape also gives greater comfort and space in the forefoot area.

In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.
Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £100. If under £100, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.
Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.
Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
We use Royal Mail for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.
For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.
A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £100 on the day of dispatch.
For orders under £100 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.
Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.
An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.
Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.
You can return for an exchange or refund. Return postage is at your own cost.

* for safety reasons, we do not accept the return of climbing equipment or underwear once it has been tried on.
The shoes are very comfortable, I have already walked quite a few kilometers in them, they still look great, of course like any other they require maintenance :).
Excellent boot
Fantastic service from Hill and Dale considering I live in Australia.I a have been wearing a pair of Zamberlan 996 boots for over 3 years and wanted a new pair on standby.They look to be the same quality and are the best boots i have found for any kind of hiking and general walking too.I must mention the service from Hill and Dale.The boots i wanted were out of stock and had to be obtained from Italy.
I expected a long delivery time but boots arrived in Australia in two weeks.Well done guys!

This is my second pair of these. The first pair lasted a decade and took me to some amazing places, across (& up & down) all sorts of terrain. They were comfy right up to the end.
The quality of manufacture is excellent. Good leather, great sole and extremely comfortable on the foot.
My preference on the design is not to have the boot so high above the ankle. If you lace up to the top, the boot rubs on the lower leg making it sore. If you lace one hole down the boot tends to gape at the top.
The three mm laces are too thin to tie easily. The laces should also be non slip. 5 mm laces would be better.
Overall the comfort outweighs any criticism and I am pleased with my purchase.

These are my second pair of Zamberlan.
My first, lasted me over 20 months.
& that's 20 months of wearing them for 8/9 hours a day, 5/6 days a week, outside in all weather, cleaning windows.
In fact, my old pair are still waterproof, but do need to be re-soled.
Yes, they're expensive, but they have lasted twice as long, as any other boot I've tried, & I've been cleaning windows, for nearly 25 years. That's a lot of boots!!
These Zamberlan's just keep going!

I paid for these boots on 16th September
and thought them beautifully constructed.Unfortunately they were far to big so l returned them for a size 43.Hill and Dale arranged the return,and l think the courier must have walked there from Blyth as it took a week for them to arrive at Hill and Dale.Size 43 had to be ordered from their stockist and l am still waiting........frustrating!However,in my communications with Hill and Dale the staff have been most polite and pleasant!

Was recommended to try these by a friend: They look and fell well made, really comfy out of the box, but really not as wide as wide fit might suggest, just a little more roomy than standard zamberlan boot which come up fairly narrow so had to return them
