Part of the Comfort-Fit range, Meindl's Journey Lady Mid GTX walking boots in anthracite and blue offer a lightweight, wider fit option. Ideal for leisurely hikes, the Nubuck leather and mesh uppers provide a durable yet breathable design. To keep your feet dry in any condition, the boots also feature a GORE-TEX lining.
Meindl prioritizes comfort, which is why they created the Comfort-Fit range with a wider front fit and an Air-Active footbed for increased movement and support. Not only does the footbed absorb moisture, but it also contours to the foot for superior comfort during all-day wear.
The Meindl Comfort Sport sole offers excellent shock absorption and a reliable grip.
Meindl Journey Lady Mid GTX Walking Boot Features:
Wider fit than the standard Meindl fit. Velour leather and mesh uppers with waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex lining. Meindl Comfort Sport sole unit with optimum heel-to-toe motion. Air Active cork footbed for added comfort.
In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.
Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £100. If under £100, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.
Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.
Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
We use Royal Mail for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.
For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.
A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £100 on the day of dispatch.
For orders under £100 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.
Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.
An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.
Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.
You can return for an exchange or refund. Return postage is at your own cost.

I wore these shoes HARD for over two years to the point I wore through the inner sole, the outer sole and they turned brown. They have done some serious mileage through all weathers and all terrains. I really struggled to get shoes that didn't cause me foot pain as I have wide, flat feet with hypermobility, so I foresee me buying another pair in 2028! Getting the Meindl waterproof spray has made a huge difference too. They might not be the coolest looking shoes, but they are extremely reliable.
I have real difficulty buying walking boots that don’t hurt my feet. I e wasted so much money to find after 3 miles my feet really hurt
After reading the reviews on these and co tenplating for ages as they are a lot of money - I decided to go for them. The reviews do not lie
I’ve done a 6 mile walk and now a 10.5 mile walk, both in rain and mud and my feet were dry, warm and the shoes really do feel like slippers
These were worth the money to me and I hope they last at least a couple years and will be so worth it if they do.

I have had several pairs of these boots over the years because they fit my feet so well (wide feet with rather short toes) and are so comfortable. The first pair I bought wore quite well but I feel the quality has gradually declined over the years. I now seem to get through a pair every year, which is expensive! My boots have a hard life - I wear them nearly every day, and frequently get them very wet and muddy - and I find the Gortex waterproofing doesn't last. I use the Proofer and Conditioner but it doesn't seem to have much effect so I've taken to using Meindl Sportwax to stop the nubuck leather getting completely sodden, which helps a bit. I wish they did the same style of boot in proper leather rather than nubuck because I think that would cope better with wet and mud. But I keep buying them because they're sooooo comfortable!
Purchased these boots for my wife as she’s never had a wide fitting’s , quality inspired boot for walking in … after a 8k continuous dog walk her words were, “that was the 1st pair of boots/shoes I have put straight on and have no discomfort at all, they’re brilliant”. I’ve had meindl boots for over a year now recommended them highly..

Very good prices on Meindl comfort fit boots and shoes and ordered from this company quite a few times and will continue to do so. The only thing I would say is often the footwear comes direct from Germany so the lead times are longer. It would be really good if customer service could drop its customers a couple of emails to let them know if there are any delays during this period.
Worn today walking in Yorkshire, comfortable with no issues
This is my third pair of these boots. The wide toe box accommodates my bunions and my orthotics. They are supremely comfortable, supportive and sturdy, and I love them.
My third pair in 10 years of regular hiking as always comfortable for my broad feet. Price has gone up of course but Hill and Dale offered the lowest price recently.

Super comfortable shoes , spacious and great for long walks . Water resistant , suitable for any weather . This is the fourth pair I have bought , they usually last me for a year, using them a lot . Good service as well from Hill&Dale. Great customer support in case of questions , they respond quickly and efficiently.

These are the most comfortable walking boots. The second pair that I have bought did not disappoint and were immediately wearable without any discomfort or problems with rubbing.

This is my third pair of Meindl boots. They are fantastic. From the moment you put them on they feel like you’ve had them years. Both my previous pairs lasted me roughly 5 years each. iIf I looked after them properly they would probably last a lot longer. Definitely the best walking books for comfort and keeping your feet dry and obvs they look good too.
I ordered a pair of replacement boots for my wife, after being unable to buy them locally. I placed the order on Christmas Eve, and despite the fact that her size was shown as being out of stock, and the delay caused by the holiday period, the boots were delivered on 9th January. I was kept informed throughout. And the price was excellent for a premium product.
My wife loves her Meindl Journey boots, even as a delayed Christmas gift! I would definitely recommend Hill & Dale!

I ordered these at the beginning of December to allow plenty of time for the Xmas post, and they arrived 2 days later which is excellent service. Had to wait until Xmas for my wife to try them on and they are a perfect fit, look good, lightweight, and very comfortable. My wife has worn the boots on 2 walks over Xmas and is very impressed with how comfortable they are. I have been wearing the men's version of the same boot for around 12 months and have walked sections of the Wales Coastal Path. They are lightweight yet robust, with good grip and ankle support. They are probably the best boots I have worn and I don't feel as tired as when walking with a heavier boot. Happy walking!

Great boots for wide feet only criticism is the cleats are rather small.
I bought these due to them being advertised as wide fit - I have pretty average feet but find most cheaply made shoes really scrimp on width. For the price I would have expected these to be much more generous across. These have a tight little toe box like a cheap pair from the market.

Boots arrived promptly - however I had to pay an additional 79 euro customs charge. This would prevent me from ordering any other product from UK company.
