The Bhutan MFS boot is a well-known favourite among outdoor enthusiasts, boasting a decade of proven performance.
A refined version of the renowned Meindl Burma boot, the Bhutan MFS offers exceptional support, durability, and versatility for year-round use. Crafted from high-quality Nubuck leather, this boot delivers reliable protection and stability on all terrains, ensuring a comfortable walking experience.
Its advanced features include a GORE-TEX lining for waterproofing, a Digafix lacing system for a secure fit, an Air-Active footbed to wick away moisture, and a Memory Foam System (MFS) around the ankle for added comfort.
With a self-cleaning Vibram double density sole for excellent shock absorption and traction, the Bhutan MFS is perfect for everyday use and low-level mountain hikes.

The Bhutan employs Meindl’s innovative Memory Foam System (MFS). The foam in the upper changes shape to exactly match the shape of the foot. A perfect fit, straight out of the box! Meindl’s leatherworking heritage is clearly evident in the fabrication of the Bhutan LadyMFS as you pick it up. Added to the benefits of a top-quality leather upper, such as durability and comfort, is the reassurance of a waterproof and breathableGore-Tex lining and an all-round rubber rand for protection against scuffs and scrapes.
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.
Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £100. If under £100, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.
Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.
Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
We use Royal Mail for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.
For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.
A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £100 on the day of dispatch.
For orders under £100 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.
Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.
An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.
Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.
You can return for an exchange or refund. Return postage is at your own cost.

This is my second pair of these boots, the first ard 12 years old!! Great fit, very comfortable, never had any issues with my feet wearing these. A great investment and well worth the money. My first ones have hiked thousands of miles and will continue to be worn for dog walks only! Great service from Hill and Dale, fast delivery and good price.
Meindl Bhutan Lady MFS GTX Walking Boots - Brown
This is my first pair of Meindls, I bought these boots to replace a pair of walking boots I had for 23 years. In comparison these boots do not feel as sturdy and I slip over in these so I am rather disappointed.
These boots are waterproof, sturdy and well padded. I have tried cheaper alternatives over the years, but all have ended up in charity shops.
Waterproofing seems to work for anything from 13 months to about 4 years, but I live in a muddy rural location and wear them maybe 250 days per year.
From the first wear they were comfortable! Great boots.

Really comfortable boots, loads of toe room which is good for me. Competitively priced, well packaged and quick delivery.
Size orderd was too big boots returned and exchanged for smaller size easy and painless apart from postage cost .
This is my first pair of Meindls and I am very pleased with them. I look forward to many great walks in them!
My partner has had a few pairs of Meindl’s and wears them all the time. As my, other make, walking boots died, I decided to buy the same. Good choice! They were comfy from the start and very supportive. Love them!
Great hardy boots - took a day to break in but no blisters ect.
I knew which boots I wanted and which size. They were provided promptly at a competitive price.
Excellent service from Hill and Dale, they arrived well packaged and extremely fast. My previous boots were Meindl Burma, which I love as they are so comfortable, so as they have discontinued them I bought these Bhutans and they are just like the Burmas. As soon as I put them on they felt very comfortable. They are well made and will hopefully last a long time.
I used to shop from Hill and Dale when we lived in Hebden Bridge and am pleased to be able to shop from them online now. I knew which boots I wanted and Hill and Dale were competitively priced and offered free next day delivery. I was very impressed.
I have had several pairs of Meindl boots over the years. Always very satisfied. Only comment cuff is now fabric used to be leather which was better.
Can usually make uppers last for at least 1 resole.

Not ideal, but I had to buy a new pair of boots, 3 days before doing the LDW, The Fisherman's Trail in Portugal. I spoke to the team and they promised to send the replacement boots out immediately. And they did. I got them the following day. Absolutely fantastastic. The boots are too :-)
This is the 11th pair of Melinda boots I have bought. These for my lady. As always they are a great fit, comfortable and a fantastic all round cross country boot for farm, shoot and general walking.

Lovely boot, speedy service but the boot itself was too narrow for my wife, so unfortunately had to return them.
This is my second pair of Mendel boots. They feel like a pair of slippers and are a perfect fit. A lot of other makes move up and down at the heel but these are snug. I would have preferred a normal, smooth leather outer as where I walk (mainly Dartmoor) is very boggy and these will soon look messy! These are my first Bhutan boots as I could not get hold of the Borneo boots that I had previously.
