This refined version of the Meindl Burma boot offers exceptional support, durability, and versatility for year-round use. Crafted with top quality Nubuck leather, these boots provide maximum protection and stability on all terrain types, ensuring a comfortable walking experience.

Sportwax is a leather conditioning and waterproofing product that can be easily applied with a sponge or cloth. Be sure to treat the tongues of your boots as well. It is unnecessary to heat the wax, as this may decrease the breathability of the boots. This treatment will result in a smoother and darker appearance of the leather, while also protecting the hooks and eyelets from corrosion.

Preserve the quality of your nubuck leather and suede with Meindl Conditioning and Proofing spray. Ensure long-lasting supple boots by applying treatment while uppers are slightly damp. Preserve hooks and eyelets with a thin layer of wax to prevent corrosion.

Delivery Details

In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.

Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £60. If under £60, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.

Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.

Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.

We use Royal Mail 24 for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.

For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.

A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £60 on the day of dispatch.

For orders under £60 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.

Other Questions

Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.

An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.

Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.

You can return for an exchange or refund.

Refunds are carried out immediately after receiving your item back. Return postage is at your own cost.

* for safety reasons, we do not accept the return of climbing equipment or underwear once it has been tried on.

All items sold come with a minimum 12 month warranty that covers defects in materials or workmanship.

Leather needs regular ‘nutritional’ waxing. Meindl Sportwax or Grangers G-Wax is ideal. Apply when the footwear is dry using a clean lint free cloth. Remove or loosen the laces and don’t forget the tongue. It’s also a good idea to apply a little wax or Vaseline to any metal eyelets to help prevent corrosion.

To preserve the life of your footwear, it is important to regularly treat the leather to keep it nourished and help prevent it from drying out. All leather/nubuck will eventually harden and crack - especially in areas where the upper flexes during use. Regular use of a suitable leather conditioner will extend the time before which this flex cracking will occur.

Wax will change the appearance of the leather making it smoother and darker. This is perfectly normal.

Proper maintenance and care is a requirement of the manufacturers warranty.

Love these boots

So this is my second pair of Meindl Bhutans after years of switching between various brands. Last pair I got well over 2000 miles out of, and if I didn't have a wonky ankle and drag one side I'd probably have got another 500 out of them. Super comfortable, good support, very durable, never leak, good grip, eat the miles. We'll see how this pair goes, but a couple of hikes in and they are already feeling like my old boots. I guess you might consider them expensive, but 'per mile' they are good value, I've never had boots last this long, well worth it. Hill and dale were the best price I could find, delivery was quick and efficient. Love my boots. Thanks guys!

A good replacement for my old Raichle boots

My new Meindl boots look and feel very well made. I wanted traditional leather boots rather than lighter weight fabric ones, and these fit the bill. I have used them for two walks so far, Harrison Stickle in Langdale and a short walk up Helm Crag. Conditions were dry underfoot. I experienced a couple of slips, maybe due to the Vibram soles being new and still a bit shiny. The boots are supremely comfortable right from first use. I am normally size 46 but size 47 Meindl seems best for me. I usually walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks two or three times each year and I have high hopes that my new Meindl boots will be up for the challenge for a good few years. Based on my first impressions I am optimistic.

Careful sizing needed as had ankle discomfort due to size too large. But Hill & Dale were great and helped resolve. Highly recommended 👍

The best boots ever!

I have bought these boots as a surprise gift for my husband. I have had two pairs of these Meindl boots (the ladies version). The first pair lasted me 15 years and I am onto my 2nd pair. Wouldn’t buy anything else now. They are extremely comfortable and durable. I normally have cuts from new footwear but these are good to go straight away. They are very supportive of the ankles and just mould to your feet. Even after years of use they were still waterproof. I can’t recommend these boots enough. In this case you definitely get more than what you pay for.
