In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.
Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £100. If under £100, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.
Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.
Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
We use Royal Mail for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.
For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.
A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £100 on the day of dispatch.
For orders under £100 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.
Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.
An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.
Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.
You can return for an exchange or refund. Return postage is at your own cost.

For me these were an expensive pair of trainers. I bought them to assist my rehab after a knee and hip replacement. They were never worn for cross country walking or on rough terrain, just walking about two miles three times a week around the streets. after about a year the fabric of the left shoe split in the toe area. I heated the split to prevent it getting bigger. A short while later the right shoe did the same in the same area, this is when I thought these shoes are not fit for purpose. I contacted Hill and Dale who said return them and they would try a warranty claim with the manufacturer. The manufacturer turned down the claim as the left shoe has been burnt, no mention of the right shoe or that the split happened after they split. Since this has happened I have looked on Trustpilot and most of the reviews of Meindl shoes are negative. Hill and Dale will most likely block this review as none of the reviews on here seem to be negative.

Great shoes for the wider foot. This is my 3rd pair in 5years. I wear them as work shoes.
I like everything about these shoes Meindl really suits my foot shape - they are so comfortable right from the first wear. I have tried other brands in the past but now stick with Meindl every time.
Thr only improvement would be to increase the size of ladies shoes I have to buy mens size (8.5) because ladies only go to size 8. Often the colours are dull !!

These are great. Wide, lightweight, comfortable out of the box, looking good for street wear as well as hiking, and sensible instructions about caring for the shoes. It's a pity that the sole of my foot can feel the knobbly soles through the bottom.
This is my second pair and I wear them most days. They are suitable for both urban and country walking.

On to my second pair of these shoes which I use both for walking and everyday use. Very comfortable, waterproof and lightweight. Thoroughly recommend. Excellent and reliable service from Hill and Dale.
I've had a few of these & they all get 5* (as does Hill & Dale) ... but this latest pair has an infuriating clopping sound in the left shoe when lifting the heel.
I believe it's something to do with the gore liner being a combination of too thick / too stiff / too small / twisted (not sure which) but others have had the same issue.
I will definitely purchase another pair when the time comes but now know what to look out for.
This particular model is an excepton for Meindl. It's far too shallow and, asa result, not very comfortable to wear. However, this is still of a good quality shoes.
The wide-fitting Meindl shoes are so comfortable. This is my second pair of the 'trainers'. Love them.
This is my third pair of these shoes. They are high quality and very comfortable.
First pair OK for a year, second pair had fault in the heal that made odd distracting noise - see other similar review.

Comfy and light walking shoes
I have wide feet and have had several pairs over the years with many miles comfy.
These are a nice wide fit, nicely made but the left shoe makes an infuriating ‘clopping’ sound when walking. It is as if something is loose inside

I’m a real big fan of the Meindl wide fit range. The extra room at the toe is just so comfortable. They’re light with great grip and very waterproof. A perfect fit straight out of the box. Will definitely buy more of this range.

Very comfortable extremely well pleased
I don’t have particularly wide feet but I like the extra room you get with these shoes. Meindl shoes are well-known for their comfort and these are no exception, especially so if you like to wear thick socks. They are also very light and easy to put on without rubbing your heel, unlike lots of other modern walking shoes. Not sure how rugged they are, I’ve only had them a few weeks. But they are quite flexible and probably best suited to moderate hiking. I’m not expecting them to be waterproof (none of my other Meindl shoes have been) and in any case, for me, that is not a big issue. They have a fairly plain appearance and they are quite expensive.
Tested shoes for two decent walks and then completed a 26 mile walk. They were comfortable, fitted as described and were waterproof. Thank you Meindl.
The most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned, that's the best of very many. Roomy and supportive. Waterproof too.
