Fenix HM65R-T is the latest release in the hugely popular Fenix HM65R headlamp range. This light weight magnesium model is dedicated to trail running and boasts many features that give the growing field of Trail and Ultra runners the lighting they need to tackle many hours in the dark.
A dual lamp set up provides a powerful 1300lm spotlight and a 400lm floodlight. Paired together they can achieve a 1500 lumen boost output. With updated circuitry, the Trail edition features constant light output giving consistent brightness combined with long run times, lighting your way on the trails for extended periods without a battery change.
Each beam features 3 brightness settings and for extended use. The floodlight will last 300 hours on the 5 lumen low setting or 36 hours at the 70 lumen medium setting. Plenty of light to get you through the longest of activities!
The most obvious change for the Trail Edition is the New Fenix BOA headband. The new system allows the fit of the headband to be adjusted with a simple twist, allowing for an exact fit and easy / fast adjustment. The headband itself is a wider design, dispersing the weight over a larger area for a comfortable experience.
Fenix HM65R-T is powered by an included 3500mAh 18650 battery which is charged via the USB-C charging port on the rear of the headlamp (charging cable included). Spare batteries can be used to extend run time.

This is indeed a very bright torch and with decent battery life too. However it would benefit enormously from having the battery placed at the rear like the Biolite torches. It would be better balanced, more comfortable and less prone to wobble. Also the direction of the lamp needs to be adjustable up as well as down. 100 yards plus range is little use if it points permanently just 3 yards in front of you.

Impressive torch and really comfortable to wear.
The band is easily adjustable and the charging is quick.
It feels really good quality and is used for running, dog walking at night as well as camping. Really pleased with the purchase as well as the speedy delivery from Hill & Dale.
