Men's trekking shoes ideal for challenging backpacking expeditions with heavy loads. The full-grain leather upper with Hydrobloc treatment® ensures excellent control of the internal microclimate especially in wet weather, whereas the GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining favours the regulation of perspiration, keeping the foot dry in any weather condition.
The 996 VIOZ GTX high-cut trekking shoes improve the gait thanks to the enhanced toe off and FLEX-SYSTEM joint near the ankle. These trekking shoes are perfect for different types of terrain. The Zamberlan® Vibram® 3D outsole allows excellent traction and control and is also equipped with undercut heel that helps braking during descents.

Bought these Zamberlan boots as a gift at a great price but they were too small. The larger size was out of stock at the supplier , but I was kept well informed and they did arrive a short while later. They are perfect. Hill and Dale are a great company to deal with.
I don’t normally write feedback on-line, but I’m making an exception as the boots are Zamberlan and Tom was very supportive in helping confirm my decision to purchase!!!!
3rd pair of boots, previous two pairs used regularly. Excellent 3 season boots - comfortable in all weathers. Robust soles and uppers..Could only find them for sale from Hill and Dale
The most comfortable walking boots I've ever had. A little on the heavy side but hey, these are seriously strong boots. Built for the toughest terrain. I love them. In fact, these are my fourth pair. Please continue to manufacture these boots Zamberlan(in case I outlive my newest pair)
Superb boots and superb service from Hill and Dale Outdoors. They did what they promised and I highly recommend them! Thank you.
I have bought Zamberlan and Scarpa walking boots over the years and the Zamberlan 996 Vioz GTX fit like a glove and are extremely comfortable. I am looking forward to many years of use. I would also like to thank Hill and Dale for their speedy and efficient service.

Great boots and a professional service from Hill and Dale
After some problems with size and changing boots to a narrow fitting I now have a pair of boots that fit.
I would like to thank the staff at Hill and Dale for their help in getting me a pair of boots that are comfortable but also solid enough for some serious walking.
Ordered Zamberlan boots. Staff were helpful advising as the boots required a special order from the supplier. Delivery prompt and efficient. Very happy. The boots are narrow but work well for my feed. They are very durable. Last pair lasted over 10 years.
This review is for the standard width 996 Vioz (quite narrow fit). This is an excellent 3-season leather boot that Zamberlan has thankfully not changed noticeably in over 20 years (I do 6-8 weeks mountain guiding and several weeks with friends per annum and I am on my 5th pair). I have a narrow foot with a high instep and these are one of the very few boots that I find comfortable for long days. The curve of the sole means that if fitted correctly they are comfortable out of the box, so no worries about breaking them in gradually. Looked after correctly, waterproofing is excellent for the life of the boots. They fit true to size, but if between sizes then better to go up. Z' do this in a wide fitting too, so if you have not had this boot before be sure to have an in-shop fitting to get the right size. Service from Hill & Dale is always excellent and they can be trusted.
Excellent service, everything went smoothly, boots arrived bang in time many thanks & all the best for Xmas & the new year 👍 😀
Excellent boots for use in every terrain, I am so chuffed with them, very comfortable too.
