Fenix HM65R-T is the latest release in the hugely popular Fenix HM65R headlamp range. This light weight magnesium model is dedicated to trail running and boasts many features that give the growing field of Trail and Ultra runners the lighting they need to tackle many hours in the dark.
A dual lamp set up provides a powerful 1300lm spotlight and a 400lm floodlight. Paired together they can achieve a 1500 lumen boost output. With updated circuitry, the Trail edition features constant light output giving consistent brightness combined with long run times, lighting your way on the trails for extended periods without a battery change.
Each beam features 3 brightness settings and for extended use. The floodlight will last 300 hours on the 5 lumen low setting or 36 hours at the 70 lumen medium setting. Plenty of light to get you through the longest of activities!
The most obvious change for the Trail Edition is the New Fenix BOA headband. The new system allows the fit of the headband to be adjusted with a simple twist, allowing for an exact fit and easy / fast adjustment. The headband itself is a wider design, dispersing the weight over a larger area for a comfortable experience.
Fenix HM65R-T is powered by an included 3400mAh 18650 battery which is charged via the USB-C charging port on the rear of the headlamp (charging cable included). Spare batteries can be used to extend run time.

Fenix HM65R-T 1500 Lumens Trail Running Rechargeable Headtorch
Bought this head torch via recommendation and I’m not disappointed, I am partially sighted and had to restrict my night running-this head torch is a game changer - a fantastic adjustable beam. It’s heavier than my previous torch but now used a few times I am extremely happy and looking forward to night time tails. Love the colour options too.
I bought this having read various reviews. Initial impressions are very positive. The flood and spot light settings provide great lighting, I’ve done 3 hour long runs in the woods in total darkness so far and haven’t had to go beyond the lowest light setting. The battery is still showing as fully charged too. The adjustable head strap is really easy to use and it’s comfortable to wear both with and without a hat. Great service from Hill and Dale Outdoors too, arrived quickly.
Recently purchased this head torch to use in a 24 endurance race. I’m the light provided was brilliant, flood light only-and should I needed it I could’ve also added the spot light.
Cheaper that the alternatives, but more robust, can’t recommend highly enough.
