Men's trekking shoes ideal for challenging backpacking expeditions with heavy loads. The full-grain leather upper with Hydrobloc treatment® ensures excellent control of the internal microclimate especially in wet weather, whereas the GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining favours the regulation of perspiration and keeps the foot dry in any weather condition. The 996 VIOZ GTX high-cut trekking shoes improve the gait thanks to the enhanced toe off and FLEX-SYSTEM joint near the ankle. These men's trekking boots are ideal for various types of terrain: the Zamberlan® Vibram® 3D outsole allows excellent traction and control and is also equipped with undercut heel that helps braking during descents. The WIDE LAST shape also gives greater comfort and space in the forefoot area.
Would not buy any other type of boot, they are superb. Comfortable, warm, waterproof, sturdy, reliable and long lasting!

Wonderful boots! 8/5 stars
This is my second pair of these. The first pair lasted a decade and took me to some amazing places, across (& up & down) all sorts of terrain. They were comfy right up to the end.

Well made boot
The quality of manufacture is excellent. Good leather, great sole and extremely comfortable on the foot.
My preference on the design is not to have the boot so high above the ankle. If you lace up to the top, the boot rubs on the lower leg making it sore. If you lace one hole down the boot tends to gape at the top.
The three mm laces are too thin to tie easily. The laces should also be non slip. 5 mm laces would be better.
Overall the comfort outweighs any criticism and I am pleased with my purchase.
