As Meindl wearers would expect, even their sandals are constructed from tough materials, have a great build quality, and benefit from the family's 300 years of experience in creating durable and comfortable footwear. Meindl Hawaii sandals are closed toe for extra protection and have a nubuck leather and suede upper. The clima lining ensures comfort against the skin and quick drying after exposure to water. The Air Active footbed is the same as used in Meindl shoes and this can be removed and replaced with a personal orthotic, one of the few sandals on the market with this feature. The superb Vibram rubber grip sole with EVA shock absorber really means that these sandals can be used for serious off trail walks. The Meindl Hawaii is a unisex sandal that's ideal for trails and paths, beach walks, amphibious adventures, hot summer weather and daily leisure use.

Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The sandals can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
