Measuring your body [for clothing]

Take measurements wearing only baselayers/light clothing. The tape should be tight but not restrictive.
1) With a tape measure, measure your chest at the fullest part, keeping the tape horizontal.
2) Measure your waist at the narrowest point above the pelvis keeping the tape horizontal.
3) (For women) With your feet shoulder width apart, measure your hips at the fullest point while keeping the tape horizontal.

Measuring your hand [for gloves]

With your palm face up, measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point, excluding your thumb and with your fingers in a relaxed position. The tape should be tight but not restrictive.

I tried numerous GTX jackets on before buying and this was the best. I'm 5'9" and fairly stocky, and the Medium is ideal. I think the sleeve length would be too long on a bigger size. It is close fitting, but that helps with insulation. It goes over a down jacket. Thick material; incredibly waterproof. Hood not too big. Hand pockets in a good place when wearing a rucksack. Expensive, but feels like it'll last a decade, so it's affordable on that basis! I'd definitely recommend. |

Excellent design features all round in this superb jacket. I've always been pleased with Mountain Equipment gear over the years. Very efficient service from Hilll and Dale Outdoors as well. I'll order from them again.
