Snug fit, and lighter than the Borneos, but they do bend/crease across the toes. This might be a problem on a long hike. Have to wait and see.
My last pair of Meindl boots gave me 10 years of good service so I was keen to stick with this brand.
The 1st thing I noticed about my new boots is how comfortable they are, maybe due to the absence of seams combined with supple leather. After just a few short walks I already felt confident I could wear them all day without discomfort.
I got the boots last spring so wore them regularly through the summer and didn't have any problem with sweating. I've been on a few walks in very wet conditions and remained perfectly dry in my boots although I haven't had to wade through water yet.
Most of my walking is on unmade, low level footpaths for which I've found the low cut ankle suitable and comfortable.
