Meindl Ontario GTX Walking Shoes - Loden/Black

Footwear Size

The Meindl Ontario GTX walking shoe is a versatile shoe performing equally well on off-road hikes as it does in urban and city landscapes. Made from suede and mesh, the uppers are breathable yet resistant and come equipped with a GORE-TEX lining for waterproof protection. The accompanying Air-Active footbed ensures the foot is kept dry and the shoe is well ventilated at all times. The Variofix lacing system aids support, pulling the heel to the back of the shoe, giving an excellent fit and a secure hold around the ankle. The Ontario GTX comes equipped with a Meindl Magic Active sole giving the perfect amount of traction for easy to moderate terrain. An ideal all-round walking shoe.

Ontario GTX walking shoe feature guide:
* Suede and mesh uppers
* GORE-TEX lining
* Air-Active footbed
* Meindl Magic Active sole
* Variofix lace system
* Waterproof protection

Perfect shoe for tracks and paths, GORE-TEX lined, suede upper and a Vibram sole. Meindl Rating: M - Multi Activity - 400g

Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.

Meindl Ontario GTX

The shoes have a very firm sole which should be good for walking. The insole supplied with the shoes is rather thin so I’m using an insole from Super Feet which reduces the the internal volume so I went up half a size. The exchange was handled well, had to wait for a delivery coming from Germany but communications were very good
